On our next trip, we will try to discover more local hidden paradise. So, till' our next trip ladies!
since we are so much into community stuff right now, we also decided to put more attention to out social site such as friendster and facebook. Please add Kutukutubuku.com as friend in Friendster and also join our Pose Book Competition in facebook. It is basically inspired from "Doing The Karen Cheng Way" photo group where people pose up with their stylish clothes. But because this is Pose Book Competition, naturallly you need to pose with the book you currently read. The winners get kutukutubuku shopping voucher. Well it's totally pointless but it's fun heheheh
Watched Sex n the City with C yesterday and i kinda love the imperfect yet perfect ending. I mean...if i ever get married, i wouldn't want to have it another way. A spontaneous decision between 2 people in love who realizes they live but not living without each other, get merried in city hall, the label less gown, and they way they look at each other eye like nothing else matter. It was about her and him alone, not about the guest list, not the party, not the dress...and no anxious planning. Hell Yeah!
Sigh, it was hopelessly romantic.
Anyway, here is my list of free online image editing that is worth to look at:
1. Picnik.com
Dead easy to use, great layout, user-friendly navigation, cute adds on, great selection of texts, nice image effects, reasonable loading time. I could play with this all day long which make picnik my no.1 favorite. Ideal for lightweight editing, especially for social sites. The image above is made in picnik.
2. Splashup.com
Splashup offers an amazing range of features for an online editor, and has a “Photoshop-like” feeling to it. You can play with layers, brushes, etc. It could be a little complicated to use
3. Photoshop.com/express
Photoshop Express is designed to be used essentially by anyone who uses a point and click digital camera.
People can organize photos by dragging them into albums or create a gallery to share images. You would need Adobe Flash Player 9 to operate this application
4. Flauntr.com
Offers lots of effects separated in to different sections to make it jump to just want you want to do, such as photo editing in editR, or adding text in textR. It doesn't load very quickly
5. Lunapic.com
Lunapic offers uncommon effect such ad this cube effect which is great, however i'm not sure why it has to load every time i did something. The interface is also simpler than the others.
6. fotoflexer.com
Fun and super easy to use, can add things like sticker and gif animated icons to the image. But the best thing about fotoflexer is that you can add another image (layers) of your choice on to the your original image (i'm not sure you can do this in picnik). Definitely has more features than picnik.
The interior of the cafe looks a bit like 'sinshe' chamber (chinese alternative doctor) with a large varieties of tea herbs on the wall as the part of the cafe's decorative element, which i think is really smart idea because it looks great and considerably a good use of space. Too bad i forget to take a picture of the 'herbs wall'. All the seats look very comfy and we took a small sofa in the corner.
Deciding what to drink is really a challenge because the have many many kind of tea which can be serve hot, cold, in smoothies, etc. Catrin finally settled with 'Arabian Night' smoothies tea (tea mixed with many kind of fruits) which taste a bit sour but very yummy and I decided to try 'Bancha', which apparently a kind of Japaneses tea that taste a lot like green tea but not as strong.
From inside the cafe, we still can hear/enjoy the live band from outside but not as loud so we still can have relaxing conversation without having to yell at each other ear. Tea gallery it is a great alternative place to hang out with your friend when your are sick with starbucks. Very zen & soothing place and it's open until 1 a.m on saturday night.

Twilight
by Stephenie Meyer
A fantasy, love story between a human girl (Bella) & a vampire (Edward), where their forbidden love quickly turn into a dangerous adventure for Bella. It is really interesting to read about the Cullens (the vampire family), on their each history, how the turn into vampire, their abilities, their habits etc. Once i started read it, i can't put it away until the last pages. It's addictive!
I'm glad to know that twilight is actually a series (up to book 4). Can't wait to read the next book. Buy Twilight (Indonesian version) at kutukutubuku.com
The Host
by Stephenie Meyer
Parasitic aliens calling themselves "Souls" invaded Earth and taken over. Once a "Soul" is placed in a human host, the alien takes over and suppresses the human's mind. But when Wanderer awakes in her new body, she finds that her human host isn't so easily overcome. She soon find herself in a voyage to find the host's younger brother, and the man that she loves who is in hiding.
The parasitic "Souls" are easy to dislike at first, but the alien race were described with such a rich and colorful backstory that is truly fascinating. And Wanderer is a unique "Soul" who soon finds herself caring for the same people as her host, and finding herself torn between ties to her own people and the humans.
This is such a deep & beautifully written science fiction tale. It made me think about the choices that are made and what I would do in their place. Intense, exciting, dramatic, and inspiring.
